Bei jeder Station des Rundgangs  „Auf den Punkt gebracht“ hörst Du Menschen aus Pirmasens, die hier leben oder arbeiten. Sie möchten Dich auf einen besonderen Punkt im Stadtgebiet hinweisen. Am Ende erklären sie Dir noch ein Wort in Pirmasenser Mundart. 

Sei neugierig auf das, was sie Dir zu erzählen haben. Der Rundgang „Auf den Punkt gebracht“ hat noch 19 weitere Stationen.

Wir befinden uns hier am Sportpark Husterhöhe – dem Framas Stadion, dem modernen Zuhause des FK Pirmasens. Seit dem Jahr 2004 ist der traditionsreiche Fußballverein hier beheimatet.

Er ersetzte das Stadion in der Zweibrücker Straße, das bereits in den 1930er-Jahren die sportliche Heimat des Vereins war.

Die neue Anlage entstand auf dem Gelände einer ehemaligen US-Kaserne und wurde teilweise mit Mitteln aus der Konversion nach dem Abzug der amerikanischen Streitkräfte finanziert.

Mit einer Kapazität von rund 10.000 Plätzen, darunter etwa 2.500 überdachte Sitzplätze, erfüllt der Sportpark die Anforderungen für den Spielbetrieb in der Regionalliga und bietet sowohl Fans als auch Spielern moderne Bedingungen.
Der Stadionneubau war ein bedeutender Schritt für die sportliche und infrastrukturelle Zukunft des Vereins – ein Symbol für den Aufbruch des FK Pirmasens ins neue Jahrtausend.

Auch prominente Spieler wie Manuel Neuer, Mesut Özil und Mario Götze standen mit der Junioren-Nationalmannschaft bereits im Sportpark Husterhöhe auf dem Platz.

Bis heute ist der Sportpark ein zentraler Ort des Fußballs in der Südwestpfalz und ein fester Bestandteil der städtischen Identität von Pirmasens.

Der FKP, gegründet am 10. Juni 1903, wird in der Region liebevoll „die Klub“ genannt – ein Ausdruck starker pfälzischer Identifikation, denn im Dialekt heißt es nicht „der Klub“, sondern „die Klub“. Sportlich prägten vor allem die Oberliga-Meisterschaft 1959/60 sowie der Aufstieg in die Regionalliga im Jahr 1966 die Vereinsgeschichte. Zu den größten Erfolgen zählt auch das DFB-Pokalspiel gegen Werder Bremen, das 2007 im Elfmeterschießen gewonnen wurde.

Auch im Frauenfußball war der FKP bis ins Jahr 2012 gut aufgestellt. Der Fokus lag zwar stets auf dem Fußball, doch auch in der Leichtathletik konnte der Verein in der Vergangenheit Erfolge vorweisen.

Zu den bedeutendsten Spielern zählen Hilmar Weishaar (70 Zweitligatore), Heinz Kubsch (Torwart und Teil des WM Kaders 1954), Heinz Hohmann (19 Tore in der Meistersaison 1959) sowie Helmut Kapitulski, einer der besten Spieler seiner Zeit. Als erster ausländischer Spieler lief 1932/33 der Norweger Rolf Johannessen für „die Klub“ auf. Später folgten weitere internationale Spieler wie Isaac Agyemang (Ghana, U17-WM-Auszeichnung 2000) und Ricky Pinheiro (Portugal). Der Verein legt großen Wert auf die Nachwuchsförderung: Immer wieder schaffen Talente den Sprung in höhere Ligen oder Auswahlmannschaften – etwa Thomas Joachim, der 1992 in die deutsche U16-Nationalmannschaft berufen wurde. Abschließend lässt sich sagen, dass der FKP mit rund 1.000 Mitgliedern aktuell auf dem 88. Platz von insgesamt 128 Teams in der ewigen Tabelle der 2. Bundesliga steht – mit der Hoffnung, sich künftig weiter nach oben zu arbeiten. Das Potenzial, auch in höheren Ligen zu bestehen, ist zweifellos vorhanden.

Un jetzt noch a Wort in Bärmensenser Mundart:

„Schlabbeflicker“

Pirmasens war früher eine Schuhstadt, bekannt für ihre Schuhfabriken und die Schuhindustrie.

Deshalb wurde der Begriff „Schlabbeflicker“ oft mit den Pirmasensern in Verbindung gebracht.

„Schlabbe“ bedeutet so viel wie Schuh, und „Flicker“ heißt so viel wie Reparierer.

Zusammen bezeichnet „Schlabbeflicker“ also einen Schuhmacher.

Besonders bei Fußballspielen riefen gegnerische Fans manchmal spöttisch:

„Ah, die Schlabbeflicker kumme!“, um die Pirmasenser ein bisschen zu ärgern.

We are here on the sports park Husterhöhe, the Framas stadium, the modern home of the FK Pirmasens. Since the year 2004 is the traditional football association here at home.

The municiple sports park Husterhöhe has existed, as it is today, since 2004 and is since then the modern home of the FK Pirmasens.

It replaced the traditional stadium on Zweibrücker Straße that used to be, even in the 1930s, the home of the FK Pirmasens.

The new facility was build on the site of former U.S. military barracks and was partially funded with conversion funds following the withdrawal of American troops.

With a capacity of around 10 thousand seats, around 2.5 thousand of which covered, fullfills the sports park the requirements for play in the Regionalliga and grants both fans and players a modern environment.

The building of the stadium was an important step for the sporty and structural future of the association, and a symbol of the start of the journey of the FK Pirmasens in the new millenium.

Even up to today the sports park Husterhöhe is a central spot of football in the Southwest-Pfalz and an important part of the urban identity Pirmasens.

The FK Pirmasens, founded on the June tenth 1903, affectionally called „die Klub“ in the area, an expression of the strong vocal identity native in Pirmasens and its surroundings, since in the local dialect it isn’t „der Klub“ as it would be usually (masculine), but instead „die Klub“ (feminine). The association is especially marked by the „Oberliga championship“ 1959/60 and the promotion in the Regionalliga 1966. One of its greatest accomplishments is the game against Werder Bremen in the DFB Cupmatch, which the team won in a penalty shootout. Up until 2012 the FKP wasn’t lacking in the department of feminine players either. And while the focus was primarily on football, the FKP had a department in athletics as well in the past.

You can say that the FKP with its around one thousand members and it beeing on the 88th spot of the in total 128 teams in the never ending second Bundesliga table has a lot of potential and deserves to stand higher in rank.

And now a word in the Pirmasens dialect:

„Schlabbeflicker“

Pirmasens used to be a shoe city, known for its shoe factories and shoe industry.

For that reason the expression „Schlabbeflicker“ was often connected to people native to Pirmasens.

Because „Schlabbe“ would be translated with shoe, and „Flicker“ with fixer, or patcher,
so together they mean something like „shoe fixer“.

Especially at football matches the opposing team’s fans would call out „Ah, die Schlabbeflicker kumme!“ so translated that would be „ah, the shoe fixers are coming!“, to tease the people of Pirmasens.
